Arrival
at Belgrade - Nikola Tesla international airport. Meet our local representative
and transfer to the hotel. Check-in to hotel, overnight stay at hotel.
Belgrade
('White City') is far from a 'pretty' capital, but its gritty exuberance makes
it one of Europe's most exciting cities. Our tour starts at the most important
area, where you can see the National Assembly and the City Assembly building.
Then
we'll go down Kneza Miloa, one of Belgrade's principal streets, which is lined
with exquisite 20th-century architecture. Driving through the city's affluent
Dedinje neighborhood, you'll come across The the ex-most Yugoslavia's renowned
president, Tito's mausoleum.
We
continue our trip by passing past the Royal Compound and the most opulent
street in town, which is home to numerous embassies. Then we visit the
beautiful Temple of St. Sava, Europe's largest orthodox temple. Following the
tour, we will go by vehicle to the Old Town, Belgrade Fortress, and Kalemegdan
Park, where you will have a walking tour of the area.
Topola,
Serbia's Royal Heart and Soul, is a town in Umadija famed for its
world-renowned wine production. This little village, steeped in history,
depicts the narrative of the Karaorevi royal dynasty, whose history began here.
Here, underneath Oplenac, was born Karaore Petrovi, the leader of the First
Serbian Uprising and the founder of the Karaorevi dynasty.
Proceed
to visit The St. George Church, the Karaorevi Dynasty Mausoleum, and the royal
family Karaorevi's residence are all located on the hill of Oplenac above
Topola.
